Ask Foreman for a person and you get a button
Foreman is your intelligent FabWise assistant. It's read your jobs, your crew, and your hours, and it answers in seconds — which is why it's the fastest way to get most questions answered.
But not every question is a question. Sometimes you want a judgment call, or a billing conversation, or a second pair of eyes on something that looks wrong. Ask Foreman for a person and it now offers you a Contact support button right in the conversation.
Press it and you get a short form — a subject, already filled in from what you were just discussing, and a box for what's going on. A summary of your Foreman conversation is attached automatically, so whoever picks it up starts with the context instead of asking you to explain it again from the top. Personal details are stripped out of that summary before it's attached.
Before, asking for a person put the conversation into a waiting state and you sat there wondering whether anyone was coming. Now the button is the whole decision: you press it or you don't, and the moment you press it there's a ticket with your name on it. Nothing happens to your conversation with Foreman unless you choose it.
Where the answer comes back
Every ticket you open now has a home, and it's the page you were already on. Help → Talk to a person lists everything you've sent us, most recent first, with a status on each one — open, waiting on you to read a reply, or resolved.
Open one and it reads like a conversation. Your messages on one side, our replies on the other, with the name of the person who wrote them. There's a reply box at the bottom, so a back-and-forth stays in one place instead of scattering across an email thread.
The Help page answers is anyone getting back to me?
The Help page has been rebuilt around that question. Your tickets are on it — not behind a link to a list, on it — so the moment it loads you can see which ones we've replied to and which are still waiting. Click a row and you're in the thread. And if you've never opened a ticket, none of this is in your way.
Foreman is no longer one of the options on that page, for the simple reason that it isn't a place you go. It's the chat bubble in the top-right corner of every screen in FabWise, including that one. So the page says what it is — instant, and able to see your account — and spends the rest of its space on the two things it can actually take you to: a person, and the docs.
When someone on our team replies, we email you. That email doesn't contain the reply, or even the subject of your ticket — just a note that there's something waiting and a link to it. Your support conversation can include real detail about your shop, and an inbox isn't a private place to keep it. The conversation stays behind your login; the email is just the tap on the shoulder. Open the ticket to read it.
You only ever see your own tickets — not your coworkers'.
What this means day to day
Two doors, and it's clear which is which. Foreman for anything about your own data: who worked what, where a job stands, what the hours look like. It's instant and it can actually see your account. A ticket for anything that needs a human decision — and you get there in one click, from inside the conversation you were already having.
Email still works if you can't sign in. That's what it's for now: a way in when the front door won't open.
